Funko Pop! Visits The Overlook Hotel

Funko announced that they will release figures of the Torrances, our favorite winter caretakers of the Overlook Hotel, coming this fall. They have recently added that the Target exclusive Grady Twins will be released as well. These are all characters from the Stephen King book The Shining (1977) as well as the Stanley Kubrick classic 1980 film. After losing his teaching position, Jack Torrance takes the winter caretaker position at the Overlook Hotel, a building with a violent past. He brings his wife, Wendy, and his son, Danny, with him, where they will be the only occupants of the hotel. As Jack begins to write his novel, he heads into a downward spiral of madness, as strange things begin to happen at the Overlook. The only thing that can save Danny and his mother is his gift, the Shine.

Let’s take a look at The Shining Funko Pops!

Jack Torrance

There is also a Chase Jack as well, which is basically the same character but with slight variations. There’s a 1 in 6 chance to get that one.

The chilling Grady Twins will be released as a Target Exclusive in October.

To say I’m excited for these is an understatement. A chance to own a Funko of my favorite people from the Overlook Hotel. The Shining is one of my top horror films hands down. I will definitely be on a mission to get these this fall.  I love the detail on these, especially the Redrum on Danny’s box. They actually put the details on all the characters, such as their outfits. It also has the infamous Overlook carpet pattern on the side of box. Anyone else on a mission for these? Which one is your favorite one? Let us know in the comments!
