Final Girls Berlin Film Festival showcases horror cinema that’s directed, written, or produced by women. They are committed to creating space for female voices and visions, whether monstrous or heroic, in the horror genre. They are lashing against the tokenization of women as objects and beautified victims, and are working towards the primacy of women as subjects in horror.
Their definition of women includes anyone with female experience – past or present – and is trans-inclusive. Anyone who feels addressed by the term is welcome to submit their films to the festival. The 2nd annual event is right around the corner and we’ve got all the details!

Festival co-director Eli Lewy says “this year we have selected a range of unnerving feature films – most of which are also exclusive German premieres!” Fellow co-director Sara Neidorf adds “we’re excited for another three days of communal fear and challenging discussions with filmmakers and spectators.
