There’s no rest for the bad guys… or the good guys! Great news: IFC is bringing Stan Against Evil back for a third season! John C. McGinley will return as the arrogant, flawed, disenchanted fish out of water ex-Sheriff Stan Miller doing battle against the forces of darkness. In addition to McGinley, the cast includes the lovely Janet Varney as Sheriff Evie Barret and the funny, quirky Deborah Baker, Jr. as Stan’s positively upbeat daughter, Denise.
After two successful 8 episode runs in 2016 and 2017, Stan Against Evil is coming back for more. Third time’s the charm! Read on for all the details!
Stan Against Evil Synopsis
Stan Against Evil follows Stan Miller (McGinley), a perpetually disgruntled former sheriff of a small New England town who was forced into retirement. Miller has trouble relinquishing his authority to Evie Barret (Varney), the tough and beautiful new Sheriff in town, but they form an unlikely alliance when both begin to realize things are not quite right in their quaint New England town. Together, they valiantly fight a plague of unleashed demons that have been haunting the town, which just happens to be built on the site of a massive 17th century witch burning.
Stan Against Evil is a ton of fun. If you’re not familiar with the show, Seasons 1 and 2 are streaming on Hulu.
The show’s future was in doubt, but thanks to a little luck and a great fan driven social media campaign, IFC is shoveling up a Season 3. The official Stan Against Evil Twitter feed posted this video to break the news. Check it out!
