PopHorror – Hi Celina, I’m a huge fan, it’s so awesome to chat with you. How are you doing?

CelinaSpookyBoo It’s so nice to meet you. I am doing wonderful! Its officially August so that means spooky season is starting to sprinkle in.

PopHorror – I know! I’m so ready! Can you tell the readers a bit about yourself?

CelinaSpookyBooHeck ya! My name is Celina and I go by CelinaSpookyBoo on the internet. I am a Beauty brand CEO, youtuber and  author. I am known for my TikTok account where I have over 20 million followers. I like to post comedy content. My first jump into the internet world was with my podcast “The Haunted Estate” in 2015. I like to think I am a perfect mix of spooky and funny.

PopHorror – I agree 100 percent. I first discovered you through TikTok. When did you start TikTok and what was your first viral video?

CelinaSpookyBooI started TikTok very late in 2019. My first video to go viral actually didn’t have me in it! I had attended the Transworld haunt show in St. louis and had posted a video of a snake prop! That one got about 400k views. My next video was honestly about a fart and gained over 2 million views in a day. Then we were off to the races.

PopHorror – Hahaha, that’s awesome. I really love your material, especially your sleepwalking/talking videos. Is that something that happens to you every night?

CelinaSpookyBooI love how much happiness my sleepwalking videos bring to people. My sleepwalking is triggered by eating cheese or chocolate right before going to sleep. We figured out this mix when I was a kid. Sleepwalking has been passed down through my mothers’ side of the family. Sometimes heavy stress can trigger my sleepwalking. I just tend to avoid those foods after 5pm! I eat the triggering foods in prep for a sleepwalking video. Adam always stays close to make sure I’m safe. There have been some funny slip-ups along the way.

PopHorror – They truly bring me joy! Another series I liked was the vampire version of you, are you going to bring her back for Halloween?

CelinaSpookyBoo Ahhhh, I adore Izzy, she is the zesty little English vampire who lives inside me. I hope to bring her back for the Halloween season. I still have not perfected scriptwriting. She has such a loud personality and I want to capture her perfectly.

PopHorror – Fingers crossed. =) Please tell us about your podcast – what it’s about?

CelinaSpookyBooMy Podcast is called “The Haunted Estate.” We have rebranded a bit to include even more than just classic haunted content. It is still full of spooks and horror but it also dives deeper. I wanted to have a safe place to talk about the things that haunt us in our daily lives. Like mental illness and the things, we have lived through that change us. If you are the kind of person who has to look at the car accident when you drive by, even if you don’t want to, this is the show for you.

PopHorror – YES. I love that so much! How often does it air?

CelinaSpookyBooThe Haunted Estate releases every Thursday on all podcast apps.

PopHorror – Do you plan on doing a special episode for Halloween?

CelinaSpookyBooYes! With restrictions loosening I feel like it would be so cool to stay at one of the most haunted places in the world and do a show from there.

PopHorror – That would be amazing. I’m from Iowa and one of our most haunted attractions is the the Villisca Axe Murder House. You should talk about that sometime or come visit and stay the night! =) Speaking of Halloween and all things Spooky. What has been your favorite Halloween costume you’ve dressed up as so far?

CelinaSpookyBooAh, I adore Halloween and I wish we got to dress up more than once a year! My favourite costume was actually one I wore at my job when I worked at Fear Farm, a haunt in Kitchener Ontario. I was able to develop a character named Elizabeth Collins and she was a real hoot. She looks like a cross between a beetle juice and the devil himself.

PopHorror – That’s so cool! What’s your favorite horror movie?

CelinaSpookyBooThis is the hardest question ever! I am a huge fan of the original Poltergeist movies. Anytime a new horror movie is released, I am always ready to watch.

PopHorror – Haha I know. It’s really a shitty question, lol. love the original Poltergeist! Who is your favorite Scream Queen?

CelinaSpookyBooOh so easy, Jamie Lee Curtis!

PopHorror – Yes!!! You’re killing it in the social media world, but do you have a dream job or are you already doing it?
