The ‘Bonehill Road’ Teaser Trailer Is Here!

When’s the last time you saw a decent werewolf movie? I don’t know about you, but it’s been a few years for me. I’ve got good news, werewolf fans! Bonehill Road is coming to change all that! Director Todd Sheets (Dreaming Purple Neon)just posted the teaser for this brand new feature film. Bonehill Road stars scream queen Linnea Quigley (see our interview with the Return of the Living Dead star here) and was created using only practical effects – no CGI here!

So what is Bonehill Road all about? Here’s the word from Director Todd Sheets himself via the Indiegogo Page:

Bonehill Road is my newest film.  It is an homage to classic monster films like The Howling and An American Werewolf In London.  In some ways, it is a throwback to the films we grew up with…the real horror movies that we all love so much, and in another way it is a modern horror flick that uses old school techniques, including Practical Monster Effects.  NO CGI at all here.

Our goal is to make an exciting, scary monster movie with some really cool Werewolves.  Every dime will be put into the monsters.  This whole campaign is ALL about the Werewolves.  We have our base Budget and distribution is already in place, we just need extra funds for our creature effects.

We covered the campaign when it launched. Sheets set out to raise about $3,000.00 to finish the film. Fans responded by contributing more than 5 times that amount! It’s safe to say this crowd funding effort was a rousing success.

Bonehill Road looks like a lot of fun! The haunting score for the film is being composed by synthwave musician Lapses (see our interview with him here), Justin Burning, Jupiter 8 and Toshiyuki Hiraoka. It’s telling that the teaser trailer uses John Carpenter’s iconic Albertus font for the titles. If your focus is on practical FX, you definitely need to summon your inner Carpenter and check this film out!
