The New Year is almost here and I think 2018 is going to be a wicked one for horror movies especially indie horror. Here is a list of our top 10 highly anticipated horror films that we think everyone will love. Plus, stay tuned for Part 2!

Terrifier 

Terrifier is directed by Damien Leone and stars Jenna Kanell, Catherine Corcoran, and Margaret Reed. 

Synopsis:

A maniacal clown named Art, terrorizes three young women on Halloween night and everyone else who stands in his way.

Don’t Fuck in the Woods 2

Don’t Fuck in the Woods 2 is a sequel to Shawn Burkett’s Don’t Fuck in the Woods. There’s not a lot of details yet as they’re currently in the casting process. We loved the first and can’t wait for the second!

Death House

Death House is directed by B. Harrison Smith and has all start including Dee Wallace, Adrienne Barbeau, Michael Berryman, Tony Todd, and more!

Synopsis:

During an exclusive tour, a power breakdown inside a secret prison known as the Death House sends two agents fighting through a labyrinth of horrors while being pursued by a ruthless army of roaming inmates. As they fight to escape, the agents push toward the lowest depths of the facility where they learn a supernatural group of evil beings is their only chance for survival.

Angel

Angel is directed by Tory Jones and stars Sonya Delormier, Cameryn Zupon, Tyler Riley, Chelsea Skalski, Brady A. Myers, Talia Schade, Dale Miller, Katie Stewart, Kattie Hubbard, James Tackett, and Jessica Bloom.

Synopsis:

Thirty years after the massacre at Raven Rock, a headstrong journalist and her team venture into the town to investigate. What they will discover is sometimes the truth is more disturbing than myth and Raven Rock is still being occupied.

Crepitus

Crepitus is directed by Haynze Whitmore and stars Bill Moseley, Caitlin Williams, Eve Mauro, Lance Paul, and Chalet Lizette Brannan.

Synopsis:

Seventeen-year-old Elizabeth and her younger sister, Sam, are thrust into circumstances more terrifying than living with their abusive, alcoholic mother when they are forced to move into their deceased Grandfather’s house. Frightened beyond belief, they begin to learn horrible things about their family history. Nevermind the ghosts in the house, there is something far worse that takes an interest in the girls … a cannibalistic clown named Crepitus.

Stirring is directed by Troy Escamilla and stars Helene Udy, Brinke Stevens, Daiane Azura, Mel Heflin, Kaylee Williams, Billy Bannigan.

Synopsis: 

Students attending a Christmas party at a sorority house with a sinister past are stalked by a bloodthirsty killer disguised as Mrs. Claus.

Ugly Sweater Party

Ugly Sweater Party is directed by Aaron Mento and stars Sean WhalenKevin Caliber, and Felissa Rose.

Synopsis: 

An ugly sweater party turns into a bloodbath when an evil Christmas sweater possesses one of the partygoers.

Cryptids

Cryptids is directed by some amazing people including Brett Dejager, Adam Hershberger, Zane Hershberger, Robert Kuhn, Justin M. Seaman, and John Williams, Holt.

Synopsis: 

An anthology film about a paranormal radio show accepting calls from strangers, who have encountered beasts of legend.

Safe Place

Safe Place is directed by Ashley Mary NunesBill Oberst Jr.Jordan Phipps, Gregory Blair, Lara Jean Mummert, Genoveva Rossi, and more!

Synopsis:

Six students attend a party to celebrate their friend’s successful art show opening. Their presence triggers memories of a traumatic event in the host’s past, and he resolves to positively impact the course of their lives – by ending them.

Garden Party Massacre

Garden Party Massacre is directed by Gregory Blair who also stars in the film along with Andy Gates, Nichole Bagby, David Leeper, and more.

Synopsis:

A gathering of friends goes awry when an uninvited guest appears. With a pickax. And an attitude.
